About the Blog

My name is Bethany, and I am a student at Wheaton College. I was accepted  into an academic program with my school known as Wheaton in the Holy Lands. Classes are held on location throughout Israel, Greece, Turkey, and Rome and seek to engage students with the religious, cultural, and sociopolitical landscape of the "Holy Lands." The nine-week trip is led by Dr. Kalantzis and Dr. Walton of Wheaton's Bible and Theology department, in conjunction with local teams from Jerusalem University College and the Hellenic Scripture Union. Wheaton in the Holy Lands allows students to see, smell, hear, and touch focal religious sites of global civilization, and to be formed within a learning community of faith.
